When glass tubes are plunged in a glass filled with a foamy liquid which is covered by a foam layer, bubbles spontaneously enter in the them. As the bubble size is larger than the tube diameter, the foam adopts a lamellar structure in the tubes reminiscent of a bamboo structure.
