Marina Pasquet completed her thesis under the supervision of Emmanuelle Rio. Her work focused on the mechanisms underlying the stability of soap films, bubbles and foams. She has made remarkable contributions to the development of original experimental set-ups and to certain analyses of experiments carried out on board the International Space Station. She has shown that the presence of surfactants plays a more important role in the evaporation of liquid films than in their drainage dynamics, as previously thought.
